Ulsoor

Ulsoor is one of the older localities of Bangalore that still retains its old world charm. Located near the scenic Ulsoor Lake this area is 2 km from the heart of the city and about 5 mins away from MG Road. Ulsoor has several shopping centres which cater to the area's largely upmarket populace. Schools like Frank Anthony's, St Annes and RBANMS are located in this area. Place of worship include the Ulsoor Gurudwara, Someshwara Temple and Trinity Church among several others. Ulsoor has its share of fine clubs and associations, some of which include the Ulsoor Boat Club, the Bengalee Association and the Bangalore Tamil Sangam. Lakeside Medical Centre and Hospital and other private and government run dispensaries are located in this area. Near Ulsoor, we also have some of the city's star hotels like the Taj Residency, Oberoi and Kensington Terrace. Towards M G Road are some of the areas biggest shopping centres, the Big Kids Kemp and Trinity Chambers.
