Industrial Policy

The Policy aims at encouraging growth and promotion of all industries based on local scarce condition, local environment and to the extent possible by utilizing locally available raw materials.

Incentives

Development Subsidy of up to 10% of fixed capital up to Rs. 0.3 million per unit, for all sector of industrial units where fixed investment does no exceed Rs. 50 million.
Special state capital subsidy of 30% of cost of main plant and machinery, up to Rs. 3 million, for industries, till the Central Capital Investment.
Subsidy scheme is re-introduced
Additional sate capital subsidy of 5% of fixed capital investment for pioneer units, subject to a ceiling of Rs. 1 million.
Assam Finance Tax on industries lowered from 12% to 4%
50% subsidy on power consumption of up to 1MW (Max. Rs. 0.5 million,) 30% between 1 MW (Max. Rs. 1.5 million ) and 20% above 5 MW (Max Rs. 3 million)
Subsidy on manpower development to compensate for cost of training
Equity participation in medium-and large-scale units and SSIs by AIDC and ASIC respectively.
