Industrial Policy

New Industrial Policy, 1996 gives emphatic importance to faster industrial growth based on natural resources, advantages through backward and forward linkages to achieve sustainable economic development. The policy signals the state Government 's commitment to rapid industrialization by creating an investor friendly climate by eliminating unnecessary delays and unwanted regulations.

Incentives

400% & 299% sales tax relief on fixed capital investments for SSIs and large industries of Category-A
200% & 125% sales tax relief on fixed capital investments for SSIs and other Industries of Category-B
125% & 100% sales tax relief on fixed capital investments for SSIs and other Industries of Category-C.
Sales tax relief & electricity duty waiver for 12 years (Category-A): 9 Years Category-B) & 7 Years (Category-C)
Sales tax relief for pioneer units for 12 years (Category-A): 9 Year (Category-B) & 7 Years (Category-C)
Sales tax exemption for food processing units for 10 years.
Land at a concession rate of Rs. 20 per sq meter (Category-A): Rs. 40 per sq meter (Category-B)
Investment subsidy of 15% of the cost of captive diesel generating sets, upto Rs.200,000.
Term loans from state FIs and banks at 3% below term lending rates for tiny units and SSIs.
