Build-Out and Interior
Design Services
The careful planning
and design of premises is a critical step to the successful outcome of any
project. A good design will not only meet the aesthetic interests of the client,
but do so in a cost effective, space efficient and functional manner. A well
thought out design will save time, aggravation and dollars, as well as enhance
the corporate image and improve employee morale and productivity.
Our associates offer a full range
of Interior Design Services to corporate, industrial and commercial businesses
undergoing a relocation, expansion, consolidation, or those wishing to enhance
the image or efficiency of their working environment. They provide design services
ranging from initial space evaluations and concepts through to final working
drawings and specifications. This includes:
Assisting the clients
in evaluating the suitability of space being considered,
budgeting renovation costs and determining reasonable occupancy and
completion dates.
Collecting
information on organizational and user space requirements and determining
inter-department proximity criteria; developing rough concept plans from
this information for preliminary discussion purposes.
Photographing and
measuring all existing furnishings as appropriate. This information is
important at the outset for developing accurate and workable concept plans,
as well as assisting in the ultimate relocation or disposal of furnishings.
Preparing and
refining concept plans; review with various department heads and personnel
as appropriate. Evaluating findings and finalizing concept plans.
Developing concept
boards for colors and finishes, showing carpet and floor coverings, fabrics,
wall coverings, paint finishes, plastic laminates, wood finishes and key
furnishings styles.
Preparing working
drawings, which generally includes the following:
Preparing detailed
specifications outlining general contractual conditions, special
requirements, finishes, hardware and other information required for
tendering purposes.
Conducting limited
number of initial, interim and final site inspections, and prepare cursory
Site Inspection Reports, Change Notices or Site Instructions as required to
clarify drawings. Sign off when work is substantially completed.
