Industrial Policy

The policy and action plan lays a special emphasis on responsive administration. The principal object of the policy are to place Madhya Pradesh among the rank of he industrially developed state, ensure balanced regional development by giving additional facilities in 'No Industry' Development Block, accelerate the pace o Industrial Development in the state though greater utilization of the state's human and natural resources, create more direct and indirect employment opportunities etc.

Incentives

100% to 150% sales tax exemption and deferment for units with Rs. 1 million capital investment in fixed assets

Subsidy of 5% to 15% on fixed investment for SSIs and Co-operative units of at least Rs.10 million.

Sale tax benefits on the basis of proportion of capital invested in fixed assets.

Unlimited tax benefits for thrust-sector units with at least Rs.10 million investment in plan and machinery.

Exemption from commercial tax and entry tax for up to 8 years for NRI-promoted project.

Annual interest subsidy up to Rs.25,000 for SSIs: 6% for Scheduled Cast/Scheduled Tribes

Special Schemes for large-and medium-scale units promoting ancillary units

Special Incentive scheme of Rs.5000 million for all types of new units

Industrial units being set up by NRIs with a capital investment of at least Rs. 20 million shall get similar concessions which are available to EOUs, provided that the NRI investment is at least 50% of the equity invested by the promoters.

Special scheme planned for food-processing units

Commercial tax deferment facility for units in No-industries block for nine years

State identified priority sectors
